Music Discovery on the Desktop [TheSixtyOne, Fluid]
Apr 21, 2009 Creative, Design, Music of the Moment, Technology
TheSixtyOne is an excellent music discovery site with some rpg style leveling up, but like all internet radio I often close the browser accidentally and lose my music stream. Fluid to the rescue!
Fluid lets you have a dedicated browser (for web apps) that is isolated from the rest of the browsers and acts like a desktop application. To make it complete I created an icon specifically for TheSixtyOne and I thought I post it for anyone else. Sorry PC, Fluid is Mac/Universal only.
Download the icon and AI files here.
Here is one of my favorite songs I found using TheSixtyOne

Dec 10, 2008 Adobe, Technology, Tutorials, Video
This week on DekePod Deke mentions doing high quality work for family. It is an interesting problem I’ve been faced with a few times. His solution – fake it.
I heart Deke.

This is Why I Need Lego Mindstorms [Video]
Dec 9, 2008 Technology
I have wanted an excuse to get the Lego Mindstorms NXT set for awhile. Now I have one. To keep my jar of marbles safe – or are they jelly beans? Either way I’d eat them.
